Year 2009 and the beginning

Year 2009, first post

hehehe. it's been a hectic new year and a new year has come rushing into everyone's mind that this will be a struggling year for everyone as the economy of the world start to crumple as the existing financial and production industry fall into the gravel. A lot of ppl has lose their job and are now thinking what to do next and what will be the driving force for them in life to put simple meal onto their table at home. Well, grieve as it can be, but for me, i would always believe that everything is destined to happen sooner of later, don't grieve but to stand up against it and use all your might to overcome the negativity that looms over us at this testing times.

Beggers can't be chosers, i always believe in that phrase, if you are already down at the bottom of the gravel and unable to even make much moves or choices, but why still you are holding up your priceless pride and manly ego, and not bow down to accept the fact that to get your hands dirty is the only way to go on, rather than just sit there, looking at the ceiling wishing to the heaven for hope and prosperity? In this tough testing time, we have to change our way of life, for the better, for the better you and the build a future you. i know am changing as we speak, but are you...i wonder...

2008 coming to a close

2008 been a year of many incident, personally and globally. Well, the puny me can't make much of different to the global happening, but personally, it's a fun filled year. A year of exploration and a year of getting to know more of myself while i grow older and to lookout for newer things in life. Life is never easy, unless your born with a golden spoon, even so, their life ain't easy, looks easy, but they have other things to worry as well. Guess no one is perfect, as one once says, if things are perfect, there's nothing else to do in this world anymore. Well, it's half right and half wrong. i am not siding either of them, so let's move on.

sharon asked me what's my most memorable moment in 2008 as the radio DJ asked one of the artist on air last evening, to me, the most memorable event was my trip to HK recently. Was a great experience having my holiday with my gf sharon, learned a lot of things about her during this trip, well, relationships are all about learning to be with each other, and there are times where both of us are not talking to each other, even on a trip, well, we manage to find the balance between both when we are not in the liking of a decision, personal views and all, but hell yeah, we have been through it and we manage to deal with it as a couple, i dare not say that we will never argue or fight over things that we believe in, but it's the negotiation and tolerance that we have inside of us that pulls us together, another year has pass and marking another year that we have grow in living together. And amen to that, i still love her as much as i loved her from the day we have decided to be together.

2008 is a year of success in my career, and 2009 is a year of challenge. A choice has been made and moving on i have. so best wishes to everyone that i know and for another year has gone pass and welcome another year to come. Watchout and be careful while we usher the new year tonight. take care and have fun. :)

In between by Linkin Park

This song is featured in their newest album "Minutes to Midnight"....while i was ipoding while i was writing my doc. I felt a sudden rush of feeling of my frustration. and here is the lyrics to this magnificent song

inkin Park In Between Lyrics
Songwriters: Bennington, Chester; Farrell, Dave; Shinoda, Mike; Delson, Brad; Hahn, Joseph; Bourdon, Robert;

Let me apologize to begin with,
Let me apologize for what I’m about to say,
But trying to be genuine was harder than it seemed,
But somehow I got caught up in between.

Let me apologize to begin with,
Let me apologize for what I’m about to say,
But trying to be someone else was harder than it seemed,
But somehow I got caught up in between.

Between my pride and my promise,
Between my lies and how the truth gets in the way,
The things I want to say to you get lost before they come,
The only thing that’s worse than one is none.

Let me apologize to begin with,
Let me apologize for what I’m about to say,
But trying to regain your trust was harder than it seemed,
But somehow I got caught up in between.

Between my pride and my promise,
Between my lies and how the truth gets in the way,
The things I want to say to you get lost before they come,
The only thing that’s worse than one is none,
The only thing that’s worse than one is none.

And I cannot explain to you,
In anything I say or do or plan,
Fear is not afraid of you,
But guilt’s a language you can understand,
I cannot explain to you in anything I say or do,
But hope the actions speak the words they can.

For my pride and my promise,
For my lies and how the truth gets in the way,
The things I want to say to you get lost before they come,
The only thing that’s worse than one is none.

For my pride and my promise,
Between my lies and how the truth gets in the way,
The things I want to say to you get lost before they come.

The only thing that’s worse than one is none. (3x)

Enjoy.

Okay, news from Fomula1

Well, i think a lot of ppl might already know that Hamilton won and Massa was second, while Kimi came in third after a pit stop switch to have Massa take the chequered flag in 2nd place. Now all teams will head to Brazil to the final round as Hamilton has a commanding lead of 7 points. he could just take 5th to win him the driver's trophy and being the first black and youngest driver to win a championship. Well, by just doing so, that means Mclaren will be conceding their constructor's to Ferrari, something that they have to wary about how they are going to play the game of putting their car as Heikki is a bit of a disappointment lately of a few DNF forcing Mclaren to only have Hamilton accummulating the points. So, let wait for the finale on the 2nd of Nov to see who is crown the F1 driver champion for 2008. :)

i put my bet on Massa...hehehe

Wrapping up the sports weekend

Liverpool equal the top with a win @ home against Wigan 3-2. Two goals from Kuyt, where they trail 2 goals before claiming the win. Well, my heart almost popped out cause the leader Chelsea pounded Middlesbrough 5-0. And they seems to be quite fit and soon, the big game will come when both of them clash in the coming weeks.

All hail Kuyt this week. Hopefully Robby Keane will start some scoring escapade soon. com'on Keane...

Another event to follow is the Shanghai formula1 championship, second to last round of the 2008 formula1 championship, due to the driver scoring to be so close, there might be a winner in this race, else it will be determine @ the last race in brazil.

The Driver Score at the moment.

01 Lewis Hamilton 84
02 Felipe Massa 79
03 Robert Kubica 72

And the constructors standing
01 Ferrari 142
02 McLaren-Mercedes 135
03 BMW Sauber 128

Well my money would be on Felipe Massa, and even alonso vow to help him if that chance arise to let him pass and for him to gather more point to notch up Lewis Hamilton for the crown. Personally, i never liked Hamilton, he's young, fast, but too arrogant and too stupid sometimes. I've seem ruthless driving before in the schumacher era where schumacher will run anyone down for that matter, but Hamilton is just a different case. Robert Kubica could be acting like that Kimi did last year to come from 3rd of the standing and then snatch a win @ the end of the championship, but then, Kubica is starting out of the top 10 placing due to a setup problem during qualifying hence dropping him of the Q3 qualifying. A lot to watch for when the race start around 2pm today.

The starting grip for today's 2008 FORMULA 1 SINOPEC CHINESE GRAND PRIX

1. Lewis Hamilton Britain McLaren-Mercedes 01:36.303
2. Kimi Raikkonen Finland Ferrari-Ferrari 01:36.645
3. Felipe Massa Brazil Ferrari-Ferrari 01:36.889
4. Fernando Alonso Spain Renault-Renault 01:36.927

Birthday gift 2008

Well, this is an extremely late late late super late posting, reason is i was lazy to take out my camera to take a shot at it. hehe. finally i did and i found the time to put it up. :)

As you could see in the picture that it's a Parker pen, and this no ordinary Parker pen, as it's from that someone special and it has my initial engraved on it.

This gift came to me quite surprisingly as i have already hinted to sharon that i'm okay if i don't receive a gift this year due to the plan that had to go to hong kong for our trip which will cost us both a fair bit. But with this i was given a surprise, i loved it. Although it's just a simple gift, a gift that didn't cost too much, but yet, it symbolise the love, attention and care that she could show to me, even when i insisted that i'm alright without it. Inside the secret comparement that the box has, there's a little note inside, well, i'm not going to publish that note. Well, some of you might just fall flat on their face if i do, but then, i rather kept it to myself. muahahahaha. *warm.

Thank you baby for the gift. i love it a lot. i'll have it carry with me all the time that i could.

my initial on it. :)

running over stuff

not sure if it's a sign for me to drive slower lately as i saw a few indication of very dangerous emergency breaking of cars in front and even those besides of me. well i did not really have notice them until i sort of knock off the toll gate barrier stick this morning. Well, i blame it on the stupid technology that they use for the toll gates. During peak hours, traffic increases and therefore the line up, and the purpose of getting a smart tag is all about not winding down your window and queue. But there's a lot of times when some rich kid/uncles, who do not maintain their unit, which causes jam on the fast smart tag lane. Other than that, what happened this morning is that the barrier did not response fast enough when i pass through it and whoop, off it went swinging to the sides. it's not entirely my fault as my unit was scanned and money was deducted....why can't malaysia do it the SG ERP way, there's good and bad about it as rumor says that the ERP emits hell a lot of radiation as it's pretty powerful to detect even fast passing cars. Singaporeans die faster i guess...Best still if all road are toll less...that day will never come. just hoping now more doesn't come up.

lost my temper on a holiday @ manhattan fish market...

Well, first of all, i would like to greet all my Malay frens and their family "Selamat Hari Raya" as it's their new year. :)

Well, having a two days holiday makes ppl move around, especially on this festive season, and i decided to drop by ikea @ ikano center to look for some decoration idea for my room, need some resuffling around to make space. So happily drove down without much of a hassle as the traffic was good and clear. That brought smile onto both me and sharon's face. Well, what a better way to enjoy a day off doing some small shopping stress free. When i was thinking further of enjoying my day, it all started when i was about to turn into ikea from the highway. OMG. the jam started from there before even the traffic lights. i endure and moved in inch by inch and finally found a parking @ the curve being partly empty. Which doesn't really explain why the jam, oh well, not gonna give much thought to that. Maybe during the off days, ppl won't bring their brains out.

Walking around and seeing stuff wasn't that bad until we decided to grab some food. All the food outlets are pack with ppl in ikano, and due to that we'll be going into ikea, so we decided to have a quick lunch and move forwards. Paving around to decide where to land, we end up in Manhattan Fish Market. We were greeted when we stepped in and we shown to a table. Due to the festive season, i notice that only 8 person, including those in the kitchen are working to manage the whole place. Well, good management and coordination might just pull it off. After deciding what to order, it took me a while to practically grab a waiter to take my orders. Present at that time was around 10 table of customer, a few family groups. After the waiter taking my order, without writing them down, she just speed of telling another waiter about my order and then disappear into the kitchen, well, i could see her helping out throught the transparent kitchen concept that they constructed. Not too long after us, a goup of 6 ppl came and sat not far from us, and they were served promptly, which eventually their drinks went to them and not reach my table while i was observing. At that very moment, i told sharon that if their food comes first and not even my drinks, that's it, i'm walking away. i waited for another 5 mins, then and there i noticed that there are a few table that are missing their portion of the order, and the waiter as running up and down to calm other patrons down, i gave a look at sharon and both of us just stood up and walked away, i'm pretty furious inside and thinking, darn, i know it's bad for you guys to work on a your new year's day, but if your so down in man-power. for the sake of it, close the shop down rather than risking your reputation. And i guess this is the first time that i've done this. I guess it won't be the last i think. From today onwards, i shall ban myself from patronising Manhattan Fish Market @ Ikano Power Center until further notice. i end up lining up for hot dog @ ikea. sigh. then again, i ended up back in klang for pan mee later on. nice....

i'm not being racist or anything, just usual ranting about bad service that's all. happy holidays!

it all started when the midnight sun rages the night.

Well, let me start with a picture illustration.
The pic that your seeing is a car, named the midnight sun, well my first thought was, gosh, it's a name of a horse, ain't that obvious, Nao the magnificent explained further that it takes you from point A to point B, well, i am all well and fine with that explanation. Then Nao goes on by asking, is that car a female or male? Me, being the mischievous one, drop a million dollar answer to that question. "Doesn't it have a D***?" Well everyone started laughing and then before we know it, Nao continues saying, aren't they all categorize as females as they always take in things? hell would i know what exactly that means, but one thing came into my mind, Gosh, Aaron is riding his car.

ROTFLMAO....

Ah Beng : The future tense is "u will go to jail"

in the morning Ah Beng replied Ahmad Badawi is PM not AM.

A message by George Carlin

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.
A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways ,
but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and
slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

If you don't send this to at least 8 people....Who cares?

George Carlin

hilarious malaysia's standard

i literally plugged this out from a friends blog. which i find really hilarious and the stupid translation standard that m'sia has, the guy/gal that made that translation has to be shot

quote "

OMG! You won't believe this!!!

I was watching CSI Vegas tonight, and Gil Grissom mentioned something about the suspect.
He said, "So, he's a serial killer?!"
Then this stupid subtitle shown at the bottom of the screen was "Dia pembunuh bijirin?"

OMG!!!!

Serial killer = pembunuh bijirin!!!!!!! (cereal killer?????)
A killer that hunts and kills cereal!!
How is it done? Pour boiling water on them and make them soggy I guess...

ROFLMAO!!!!

32rd Bon Odori 2008

Venue: Shah Alam Panasonic Stadium

was dragged along to this year's Bon Odori festival, not that i'm not willing to go, but just i was there once, then again, going there again bring back some memories with my old school mates a long long long long time ago. Nothing much has changed since my last visit, so didn't really feel that change shock that i was anticipating, well i guess, a festival is always a festival. :) it would be great fun if to join in the dances, but for me, neh..hehehe. that's why i'm the one that says it's boring...lol...

Just a little info on what Bon Odori is about and why is this day so special.
Obon (お盆?) or just Bon (?) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the departed (deceased) spirits of one's ancestors. This Buddhist custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. Also called the Feast of Lanterns, it has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon-Odori.

Bon Odori
(盆踊り, meaning simply Bon dance) is an event held during Obon. It is celebrated as a reminder of the gratefulness one should feel toward one's ancestors.

A special day...

28/6/2008

That day is a special day, it's the day i've got a 2nd nephew. The day before, my sis was complaining that she having this weird pain in her stomach, but she can't really determine is the baby is gonna come out, so just to avoid any complication my mom send her to the hospital just in case.

so the normal i went home that evening and my mom came back telling me sis is admitted and the doc says that we have to wait and see, if nothing happens she will be home by tomorrow. And to the delight when i woke up the next morning, my mom was busy cooking something, something really nice, from the smell of it of course, i was woken up by the strong, yummy smell. Being curious, i made my way downstairs and saw mom rushing out the house, then i asked where is she going, she just said that sis has delivered and she's on her way to see her. to my delight, i call sharon and told her the good news, which we had a little argument the night before, then she also shared the joy with and forgotten what happened...phew...then she accused me of trying to sneak pass that..hehehe, well i did. :p

and later in the afternoon, my sis checks out of the hospital and brough the new family back home. due to the late entry, and he has a name. Ryan. Welcome Ryan to the family

sis and baby ryan. :)
